The Show Notes WARNING: For hardcore Geo fans only. It's: THE PROCESS Writing Calcium, Scandium, Titanium, Vanadium, and Chromium. Real time. No Edits. This is what it takes to write 145 seconds of material. ..................................... Score more data from the Geologic Universe! Get George's music at CD Baby and iTunes, and Non-Coloring Book at Lulu, both as download and print editions. Have a comment on the show, a Religious Moron tip, or a question for Ask George? Drop George a line and write to Geo's Mom, too! Ms. Information thinks she needs to change the calendar in the studio. Do you have any idea why? Comments[27]

- Steve-
TOTALLY.
It was the only time during the elements that I did it, because it felt SO WEIRD. I just sensed the tape running out... bizarre. Looking back at it, the writing pace seems so much faster than it felt. Go figure.
Oh, plus I had a dead cat in my pants.
HA! Quantum Mechanics humour! BA HA HA HA!
Yes.
-Geo - Geo, that was wonderful to see. I too was egging you on to the final version.
I found it interesting that most of them ended up how they started at least musically. Obviously some are direct parodies of songs (i.e. K, Th, etc). Did you decide at the time of writing each one on a whim that they would be good in a particular style, or did you think \"I need one to sound like Elvis - which would be best?\" I mean, Immigrant Song could have been adapted to just about any \"ium\", not just \"thorium\". (Though did I just stumble on why? THORium? ... ).
Also, Nobelium - if it\'s a purposeful reference to Radiohead (as I\'m now sure it is) then I\'m wondering just how many of these songs are direct parodies of other songs that I just don\'t know. The Radiohead one\'s fairly esoteric.
Thanks for sharing this. It is gold (but as with others I\'d love to have a \"commentry track\" going over the top :) ).
Cheers,
Chris
PS - current faves: protactinium, manganese, nobelium, scandium.
PPS - I was going to ask \"is that FZ in the background?\" Damn, got there too late! - Just got back to the comments looking for this week\'s episode.
Ms Information, it could never be your fault. It is either a correctness the rest of us don\'t understand, or yeah, well it\'s my fault! OK, said it.
BTW, some other blogs allow you to track comments via email. I wonder if that\'s something that can be enabled, or just different blog software. It is hard to remember to check back throughout the week. Just a thought.
- ah, I said, hey that\'s FZ when I was briefly watching, but didn\'t read the comments until now. :)
I consider myself hardcore, Geo... but I admit, I couldn\'t do it. I could watch the whole thing. Painful... but interesting process... I love what you do... so, yeah, keep on doin\' what you do, dude...

http://jazzsick.wordpress.com/ - you should have done Protactinium!!! that\'s my favorite fucking element...one of them at least, but #1 for sure
i was yelling the correct lyrics @ my screen when you were figuring out what to sing for Calcium....You: ca-calcium.....Me: KEEPS GRANDMA FROM SHRINKING!!!!! SAY IT YOU BALD SUM BITCH!!! SAY IT ALREADY GAHHHH! :D
the recaptcha says, "hour seventy" hmmm...was that this show 16 episodes ago?
btw....is that gary oldman on your calendar??? - Carriep:
I would be honoured :-)
It was absolutely fascinating, I know I had the feeling backasswards but as I say I was willing him on!
oooh Capt.Cha is at it again... $34,000,000 Wrong! What was that much wrong? Is it a comment about the recession (credit crunch as it\'s called over \'ere)? Is it Mc Cain\'s lost deposit? (sorry, got a bit political there) ;-) - Geo recorded the intro a few nights ago. And yet, the calendar on my bulletin board behind him still says it\'s June. I have to climb on the counter to change it and just haven\'t done it yet.
recaptcha's an advocate of reverse psychology because:
"Demand opposite" - Eeeeexcellent. But. YOU STOPPED BEFORE MANGANESE.
Ugh. That is one of my favourites. I am now (slightly) upset.
Still...eeeeexcellent anyway.
I kept willing you to get to the finished result! How stoopid is that? (Go Geo, get to that bit, go! That\'s it, well done!)
reservoirs items. Captcha, is that like fences and water and s*it? - Its very interesting, actually. Kind of surreal.
It\'s like watching Van Gogh paint a sign for the local butcher shop or Gaiman writing a users manual for a bicycle pump.
I want the thought bubbles that say what is going through his head when he\'s not playing or singing.
ReCaptch: Kentucky exists
Really? I prefer to think not.
